Thanks to the whale-sized &#8220;market correction&#8221; of multiple casino closings, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/Golden-Nugget-AC.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-6769\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/Golden-Nugget-AC-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"Golden Nugget AC\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/Golden-Nugget-AC-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/Golden-Nugget-AC-150x112.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/Golden-Nugget-AC.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>there continues to be more money for everybody who&#8217;s left. October&#8217;s shifts weren&#8217;t as dramatic as September&#8217;s save in the case of the <strong>Golden Nugget<\/strong>, which rocketed 63% upward, grossing $16 million. That shot it past <strong>Resorts Atlantic City<\/strong> ($12 million), which itself gained a respectable 16%, and also vaulted it past the bunglers at <strong>Trump Taj Mahal<\/strong>, whose $15 million betokened a 20% decline. The only other casino to lose market share was <strong>Bally&#8217;s<\/strong>, grossing $17 million and down 5%.<\/p>\n<p>The resorts of the <strong>Caesars Entertainment<\/strong> portfolio performed impressively, with <!--more--><strong>Caesars Atlantic City<\/strong>\u00a0grossing $26 million (+5%) and <strong>Harrah&#8217;s Resort<\/strong> pulling in $31 million (+3%). The <strong>Tropicana Atlantic City<\/strong>&#8216;s $21 million was good for a 13% gain and <strong>Borgata<\/strong> grew its business 10%, to top out at $56 million.
