His dismissive attitude toward her criticisms of the board&#8217;s composition makes me skeptical that we&#8217;re going to see much in the way of diversity on that august (and very white, very male) body. Also, despite having been pummeled by government policy in <strong>China<\/strong>, Wynn warbles a sweet serenade to <strong>Peking<\/strong> and blames his problems on <!--more-->the <strong>White House<\/strong>. (His maudlin remark about &#8220;if&#8221; we get a change in administration in 2016 is faintly bizarre. Does he expect the election to be canceled?)<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/video\/no-win-wynn-213000975.html?format=embed\" width=\"450\" height=\"253\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>* <strong>Las Vegas<\/strong> sports books are in a sweat that the <strong>Mayweather-Pacquiao<\/strong> might end in a draw, a proposition that has 18-1 odds and would clean the books&#8217; clocks. <strong>Jay Rood<\/strong> of <strong>MGM Resorts International<\/strong> may have overdone the anxiety, though, when he called a no-decision a\u00a0\u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2015-05-01\/mayweather-pacquiao-ending-in-draw-has-vegas-oddsmakers-nervous\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"broken_link\">deadly, worst-case scenario<\/a>.\u201d No, <em>that<\/em> would be if the outcome of the fight triggers violence in Sin City (and boy is <strong>Las Vegas Metro<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reviewjournal.com\/news\/las-vegas\/mega-security-planned-mayweather-pacquiao-mega-fight-weekend\" target=\"_blank\">laying on the preparation<\/a>). Mind you, the line could move, with heavy money expected to come in today and tomorrow, probably shortening the odds.<\/p>\n<p>Scalpers, however, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reviewjournal.com\/sports\/boxing\/over-1000-mayweather-v-pacquiao-tickets-available-stubhub\" target=\"_blank\">may have overplayed \u00a0their hand<\/a>. As of yesterday, <strong>StubHub<\/strong> was stuck with nearly 1,100 unsold tickets.<\/p>\n<p>* During otherwise inconclusive court testimony, <strong>Sheldon Adelson<\/strong> got treated <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reviewjournal.com\/news\/las-vegas\/vegas-judge-tells-sheldon-adelson-you-don-t-get-argue-me\" target=\"_blank\">with exactly the amount of deference<\/a> he deserved.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nobody likes a sore winner and Steve Wynn has nothing but unkind words for Elaine Wynn, a week after she was voted off the Wynn Resorts board.
