We spent our time there volunteering at <strong>Best Friends Animal Sanctuary<\/strong>, where we washed dishes, folded laundry, picked up poop, fed the inhabitants and socialized with <!--more-->cats, puppies and pigs. Since I haven&#8217;t been able to upload any of the photos I took (I am only slightly better than <strong>Sheldon Adelson<\/strong> at using a multi-functional cell phone), I thought I&#8217;d share this brand-new <strong>National Dog Day<\/strong> video from one of my favorite hotels, <strong>Delano<\/strong>, taken from the somewhat manic point of view of one of our furry friends. Speaking of which, Best Friends Animal Sanctuary allows cat, dog and rabbit sleepovers, of which we took full advantage. We bonded so closely with one 18-year-old cat, <strong>Edward<\/strong>, that it broke our hearts to return him. (Extenuating circumstance: We have four cats at home.)
