The entry of <strong>PokerStars<\/strong> wasn&#8217;t immediately felt, as <strong>Resorts Digital<\/strong>&#8216;s market share stood at 12%. behind <strong>Borgata<\/strong> ($4 million, 28%), <strong>Caesars Interactive<\/strong> (20%), <strong>Golden Nugget<\/strong> (20%) and <strong>Tropicana<\/strong> (20%). Borgata slots were flat, despite 2% higher coin-in, while a 1.5% dip in table wagering triggered a 14% falloff in casino win. The house definitely lost last month. Borgata&#8217;s $54 million haul represented a 4% decline from last year. On a citywide basis, slot performance was almost exactly like Borgata&#8217;s: flat, despite 1% more handle. Table play was also flat, with the casinos losing 6.5% on a year\/year basis.<\/p>\n<p>For once, <strong>Bally&#8217;s<\/strong> ($17 million) was the star of the <strong>Caesars Entertainment<\/strong> trio, up 10%. <strong>Caesars Atlantic City<\/strong> ($22 million) drooped 5%, while <!--more--><strong>Harrah&#8217;s Resort<\/strong> ($28.5 million) was off by 12%. Overachiever of the month was <strong>Resorts Atlantic City<\/strong>, up 18% on a $13 million gross, but still incrementally behind <strong>Trump Taj Mahal<\/strong> ($13 million), despite the latter&#8217;s 10% decline. Tropicana (up 6%) grossed $22 million and <strong>Golden Nugget<\/strong> rounded out the market with a $17 million gross, a 4% gain.<\/p>\n<p>The Boardwalk&#8217;s newest booster is <strong>Glenn Straub<\/strong>, who is going to reopen <strong>Revel<\/strong> this summer, under a new name. (No news there.)\u00a0\u201cThey tore down over 1,000 houses,&#8221; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cardplayer.com\/poker-news\/20219-revel-owner-atlantic-city-a-perfect-place-to-put-money\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">Straub enthused<\/a>, &#8220;and they moved everyone who was panhandling out of the city. I\u2019ve committed $500 million and <strong>Carl Icahn<\/strong> has committed at least that much. Atlantic City is a perfect place to put money. It\u2019s going to multiply by 10\u00a0times what it\u2019s now worth.\u201d Guess he hasn&#8217;t heard about that casinos-in-north <strong>New Jersey<\/strong> thing.<\/p>\n<p>* <strong>Michael Leven<\/strong> is calling it a day, in terms of his relationship with <strong>Las Vegas Sands<\/strong>. The former COO is now <a href=\"http:\/\/vegasinc.com\/business\/gaming\/2016\/apr\/12\/longtime-las-vegas-sands-board-member-michael-leve\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">stepping down from the Sands board of directors<\/a>, no reason given. <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-5792\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/Leven-2-300x283.jpg\" alt=\"Leven 2\" width=\"300\" height=\"283\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/Leven-2-300x283.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/Leven-2-150x141.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/Leven-2.jpg 318w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Hey, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ggrasia.com\/leven-retires-from-board-of-sands-china-parent-lvs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the guy&#8217;s in his seventies<\/a>, his relationship with Sands has probably made him as rich as <strong>Midas<\/strong>, he deserves some time off. Leven will be remembered as the executive who stepped in when Sands was on the brink financially, its stock in the toilet, and helped bring it back to prosperity. He was also the hero of the Iranian-hacking crisis, making the decision to pull all Sands sites off the <strong>Internet<\/strong> until the disaster had been minimized. I hope he got hazard pay for his tenure. Besides, working for <strong>Sheldon Adelson<\/strong> can&#8217;t be easy.<\/p>\n<p>* <strong>Correction<\/strong>: The giant letters from the <strong>Riviera<\/strong> are *not* going to the <strong>Neon Museum<\/strong> but <a href=\"http:\/\/news3lv.com\/news\/local\/sign-of-another-time-riviera-letters-coming-down\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">to a prospective neon museum<\/a> in <strong>Reno<\/strong>.
