At least one analyst, <strong>JP Morgan<\/strong>&#8216;s <strong>Daniel Politzer<\/strong>, sees this as a good thing. For starters, Eldorado pockets Kicks&#8217; $20 million deposit. &#8220;While investors may <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-7831\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/Isle_of_Capri_Casinos-1.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/Isle_of_Capri_Casinos-1.gif 200w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/Isle_of_Capri_Casinos-1-150x150.gif 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/>initially view this news negatively, we see a silver lining here as it enables ERI to either (1) take advantage of the favorable\/active M&amp;A environment to obtain a far better transaction multiple for the property &#8230;.\u00a0 or (2) fully integrate the property into its existing portfolio.&#8221; He added, &#8220;we estimate ~$10m of EBITDA upside if the property were run similarly to ERI\u2019s other properties.&#8221; However, as Isle Lake Charles is the weakest property in the market, its appeal for Eldorado may be negligible. Unfortunately for the company, two of the more aggressive hunters and seekers of acquisitions, <strong>Pinnacle Entertainment<\/strong> and <strong>Boyd Gaming<\/strong>, already have strong Lake Charles footholds. But <strong>Penn National Gaming<\/strong> does not and <strong>Caesars Entertainment<\/strong> might want to get back into the market, one that <strong>Gary Loveman<\/strong> foolishly forfeited in favor of added exposure in <strong>Biloxi<\/strong>. New CEO <strong>Mark Frissora<\/strong> certainly has an itch to spend, judging by <!--more-->that 11X EBITDA he just blew on <strong>Centaur Gaming<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>* We were speculating that the <strong>East Windsor<\/strong> satellite casino might be a Machiavellian plot by <strong>Foxwoods Resort Casino<\/strong> and <strong>Mohegan Sun<\/strong> to void their compacts with <strong>Connecticut<\/strong>. Foxwoods is certainly pushing the envelope. <a href=\"https:\/\/ctmirror.org\/2017\/11\/17\/state-foxwoods-scuffle-over-tax-status-of-new-gaming-machines\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">It&#8217;s installed 100 electronic-bingo machines<\/a>, <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-11157\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Foxwoods-Milford-300x161.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"161\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Foxwoods-Milford-300x161.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Foxwoods-Milford-150x80.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Foxwoods-Milford.jpg 380w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>devices that fall outside the realm of the <strong>Mashantucket Pequots<\/strong>&#8216; compact with the state. Although the Class II machines would be tax exempt, tribal Chairman <strong>Rodney Butler<\/strong> says Foxwoods is playing ball with the state:\u00a0\u201cWe\u2019re working with the state on an incredible partnership, in fact expanding our wonderful partnership that goes back 25 years. We would never put that in jeopardy.&#8221;\u00a0 However, Rep. <strong>Joe Verrengia<\/strong>\u00a0(D, <em>pictured<\/em>) calls the timing &#8220;very odd,&#8221; adding,\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s after the fact, after we just spent so much time debating the casino and the financial impact that a new casino would have on the state.\u201d This is not to mention that the <strong>Bureau <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-20636\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Verrengia-300x168.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Verrengia.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Verrengia-150x84.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>of Indian Affairs<\/strong> is weighing whether the satellite casino falls within or without the scope of Foxwoods&#8217; and Mohegan Sun&#8217;s existing compacts. Adding new, unauthorized forms of gaming would seem like a stick in the BIA&#8217;s eye.<\/p>\n<p>When\u00a0Consumer Protection Commissioner <strong>Michelle Seagull<\/strong> pointed out that the bingo machines were untested and unlicensed, she received a frosty reply from\u00a0<strong>Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation Gaming Commission<\/strong> Chairman <strong>George Henningsen<\/strong>.\u00a0\u201cWhile the Commission appreciates both your position and your concerns, we would respectfully suggest that there is overwhelming support for our position that the subject Devices are technologic aids to the play of bingo,\u201d he wrote.
