What they came up with sounds like something out of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.transformersmovie.com\"><strong>Transformers<\/strong><\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tohokingdom.com\/vg\/godzilla_unleashed.htm\"><strong>Toho Studios<\/strong><\/a>. <em>&#8220;Eek! It&#8217;s MEGACENTER! Run for your life!&#8221;<\/em> Where&#8217;s the <a href=\"http:\/\/network.nationalpost.com\/np\/blogs\/theampersand\/archive\/2008\/01\/21\/bob-thompson-the-cloverfield-sequel-to-live-and-die-in-l-a.aspx\" class=\"broken_link\"><strong>Cloverfield <\/strong><\/a><strong>monster<\/strong> (aka &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/strangefour.deviantart.com\/art\/Saw-Cloverfield-74999121\"><strong>Mr. Grumpypants<\/strong><\/a>&#8220;) when you really need him?<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of <em>Cloverfield<\/em>, a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lvcitylife.com\/articles\/2008\/01\/17\/ae\/film\/iq_19148378.txt\" class=\"broken_link\"><strong>dreadful movie<\/strong><\/a> whose marketing campaign (here&#8217;s its <strong>original spore<\/strong>) is the best I&#8217;ve ever seen, to what extent is the casino industry exploring viral marketing?<\/p>\n<p>Given the high level of interest that surrounds every new casino or redevelopment of an existing one, not to mention the fever pitch that usually accompanies a grand opening (when properly done), wouldn&#8217;t it benefit Company X&#8217;s coffers to tease the consumer with hints and tidbits throughout the long runup to that moment when the doors swing open and the players stream into the newest pleasure palace?<\/p>\n<p>In view of the popularity of sites like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ratevegas.com\/blog\"><strong>Two Way Hard Three<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vegastodayandtomorrow.com\"><strong>VegasTodayandTomorrow.com<\/strong><\/a>, it would seem that giving these folks a well-timed glimpse here and there would only help ramp up (and shape) expectations for new and remodeled properties.
