Despite being closed two days due to flooding, <strong>Belterra Park<\/strong> managed to stay level with last year, grossing $7.5 million. <strong>Scioto Downs<\/strong> leapt 11% to $16 million and <strong>Miami Valley Gaming<\/strong> jumped 11.5% to $15.5 million. The <strong>Jack<\/strong> threesome were all on the positive side of the ledger for once. <strong>Dan Gilbert<\/strong> grossed $20 million in <strong>Cleveland<\/strong> (up 12%), $12 million at <strong>Thistledown<\/strong> (15% higher) and $19.5 million in <strong>Cincinnati<\/strong> (5% better). The strong showing by Belterra Park should <!--more-->give owner-to-be <strong>Boyd Gaming<\/strong> hope that it can turn this asset around.<\/p>\n<p>* <strong>Missouri<\/strong> casinos also had a good March, up 2.5% for an overall gross of $168.5 million. Business in <strong>St. Louis<\/strong> was good (+4%) and a bit off in <strong>Kansas City<\/strong> (-1%). Good performance by slot machines more than offset bad luck at the tables. <strong>Ameristar St. Charles<\/strong> set the pace, grossing $25.5 <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-15716\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Ameristar-St.-Charles-300x194.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"194\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Ameristar-St.-Charles-300x194.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Ameristar-St.-Charles-150x97.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Ameristar-St.-Charles.jpg 620w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>million (+2.5%), while neighbor <strong>Hollywood St. Louis<\/strong> pulled in $22 million, down 4%. <strong>Tropicana Entertainment<\/strong>&#8216;s <strong>Lumiere Place<\/strong>\u00a0had a whopping good month, up 18%, grossing $16.5 million, while <strong>River City<\/strong> grossed $22 million, for a 5% increase.<\/p>\n<p>In Kansas City, only <strong>Penn National Gaming<\/strong>&#8216;s <strong>Argosy Riverside<\/strong> was revenue-positive, up 6% to $15.5 million. <strong>Ameristar Kansas City<\/strong> lost a percentage point, grossing $18 million, while <strong>Harrah&#8217;s North Kansas <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-5348\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/Ameristar-KC-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/Ameristar-KC-2.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/Ameristar-KC-2-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>City<\/strong> ceded 5.5%, grossing $15.5 million. <strong>Isle of Capri Kansas City<\/strong> was down 9% to $7 million. <strong>Affinity Gaming<\/strong>&#8216;s rural <strong>Mark Twain Casino<\/strong> was up 10.4% to $3.5 million. Of the various and sundry <strong>Isle of Capri<\/strong>-branded properties, <strong>Cape Girardeau<\/strong> was the standout, leaping 10% to $6.5 million.
