As with the <strong>Caesars Entertainment<\/strong> pact, workers will be issued alarm <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-8654\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/mgm-pic.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"299\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/mgm-pic.jpg 299w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/mgm-pic-150x100.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 299px) 100vw, 299px\" \/>buttons and a succession clause, should any MGM Strip property be sold (a minor concession on management&#8217;s part, in our opinion).\u00a0\u201cMoney is important, but it\u2019s not only about that,\u201d said housekeeper <strong>Francis Garcia<\/strong>, implying that the Culinary came up short on its 4% pay-increase demand. What she likes about the new arrangement is that it contains unspecified protections for <strong>Temporary Protected Status<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals<\/strong> immigrants, two groups currently in the Trump administration&#8217;s cross-hairs.<\/p>\n<p>In a first, the contract includes three-day bereavement leave, too. Since the appointment hasn&#8217;t been approved yet by Empire State regulators (a formality, we&#8217;re sure), Juliano won&#8217;t take office until July 9. He inherits a casino that has come up far short of its revenue projections and will have to go into competition with his former place of employment. Juliano&#8217;s Pollyannaish predecessor, <strong>Jeff Babinski<\/strong>, saw the handwriting on the wall and got a job with a far more promising casino, <strong>Boyd Gaming<\/strong>&#8216;s <strong>Kansas Star<\/strong>.
