Nobody had a revenue-positive month, not even <strong>Rivers Casino<\/strong>, <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-2851\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/Grand-Victoria-IL-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/Grand-Victoria-IL-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/Grand-Victoria-IL-150x100.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/Grand-Victoria-IL.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>down 5% despite a state-leading $34 million gross. <strong>Grand Victoria<\/strong>, now <strong>Eldorado Resorts<\/strong>&#8216; problem, was off 8% to $13 million, while <strong>Harrah&#8217;s Joliet<\/strong> dipped 5% to $14 million. <strong>Penn National Gaming<\/strong> had very mixed results, with <strong>Hollywood Aurora<\/strong> holding its ground the best at $10 million, only 3% off but <strong>Empress Joliet<\/strong> tumbling 11% to $9.5 million. In the <strong>St. Louis<\/strong> market, <strong>Argosy Belle<\/strong> got a 12% hammering, to $4 million, while <strong>Casino Queen<\/strong> plummeted 11% to $7 million.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Par-A-Dice<\/strong> was about par for the course, grossing $6 million on a 5.5% decline, while independent <strong>Jumer&#8217;s Casino Rock Island<\/strong> slid <!--more-->7% to $5.5 million. The company said it sought to engender a\u00a0\u201csafe, respectful, ethical and appropriate working environment for everyone, including staff, exhibitors, customers and suppliers.\u201d We&#8217;d say that&#8217;s a refreshing priority in the casino industry.\u00a0\u201cThe 2018 edition of ICE London was the most successful on record but it was also the edition that generated the most coverage in consumer media and not for all of the right reasons,\u201d said Clarion Managing Director <strong>Kate Chambers<\/strong>. In an ironic development, <strong>Sands Bethlehem<\/strong>, owned by <strong>Internet<\/strong>-hating <strong>Sheldon Adelson<\/strong>, was granted one of the Keystone State&#8217;s first Internet-gambling licenses, with the other going to <strong>Valley Forge Casino Resort<\/strong>. We don&#8217;t know whether the <strong>Poarch Band of Creek Indians<\/strong>, incoming owners of Sands Bethlehem, forced Adelson&#8217;s hand but the old hypocrite&#8217;s entry into online gambling just about makes my day.<\/p>\n<p>*\u00a0Visitation to <strong>Macao<\/strong> during Golden Week <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ggrasia.com\/visitors-to-macau-up-14pct-by-golden-week-day-three\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">is up 14% so far<\/a>, which must give gaming operators some cheer.
