CG is a repeat offender in the Silver State, which means that all options are on the table, including the loss of its licenses. <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-15084\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/gavel.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"275\" height=\"183\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/gavel.jpg 275w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/gavel-150x99.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 275px) 100vw, 275px\" \/>The latest malfeasances are &#8212; according to reporter <strong>Richard Velotta<\/strong> &#8212; &#8220;taking wagers from outside the state, taking bets after events had concluded, made incorrect payouts to 1,483 bettors and misconfigured a satellite sportsbook betting station for the 2018 <strong>Super Bowl<\/strong>.&#8221; CG has pled out on all counts. In addition to the $1.75 million, CG is offering to pony up a $250,000 donation to the <strong>Nevada Council on Problem Gambling<\/strong>, an offer we can all support.<\/p>\n<p>If CG loses its license, a lot of casinos will have to find new sports book operators, including\u00a0<!--more--><strong>M Resort<\/strong>, <strong>Hard Rock Hotel<\/strong>, <strong>Tropicana Las Vegas<\/strong>, <strong>The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas<\/strong>, <strong>The Venetian<\/strong>, <strong>Palazzo<\/strong>, <strong>Palms<\/strong> and <strong>Silverton<\/strong>. The proposed settlement is a big leap upward from GC&#8217;s rejected offer of $250,000, offered last summer. Velotta <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reviewjournal.com\/business\/casinos-gaming\/cg-technology-offers-1-75m-settlement-to-nevada-regulators-1525538\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">has all the details<\/a> of what the new proffer would entail and it&#8217;s pretty extensive, including five years&#8217; probation, in effect. If the current offer is accepted by the NGCB, it would mean that CG has paid $9 million over four years. I guess they call that the cost of doing business.<\/p>\n<p>* <strong>New Mexico<\/strong> will notch a significant milestone\u00a0when it launches the U.S.&#8217; first-ever sports lottery game. The parlay card is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.igamingbusiness.com\/news\/intralot-seals-market-first-sports-deal-new-mexico\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the outcome of a collaboration<\/a> between the Land of Enchantment and <strong>Intralot<\/strong>. New Mexicans can&#8217;t make straight-up sports bets unless they go to tribal\u00a0<strong>Santa Ana Star Casino<\/strong>, near <strong>Albuquerque<\/strong>. It\u2019s meant to be a celebration space \u2014 a night out on the town,\u201d Guidara said. Appropriately for Las Vegas, NoMad is serving baked Dumont potato, named after <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Eleanor_Dumont\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">notorious gambler<\/a> <strong>Eleanor Dumont<\/strong>. The bar is pricey: $17 a cocktail, or $20 if you want a table side history of the martini. A meal for two could easily set you back $150-$200 but affordability is no longer the name of the game in Sin City.
