The $209 million haul was propelled by a 12.5% <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-22937\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Borgata-300x233.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"233\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Borgata-300x233.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Borgata-150x116.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Borgata-768x595.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Borgata.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>increase in slot win\u00a0and a 13.5% jump in table revenues. A 17% drop in table win at <strong>Borgata<\/strong> helped pull its revenues down 7%, while Borgata slots slipped 3%. <strong>Caesars Entertainment<\/strong> caught a break, down 7.5% but with 3% higher table win (despite 13% less wagering) but slot win tumbled 11%. A 6% falloff in slot win at the <strong>Tropicana Atlantic City<\/strong> helped pull it down 4%, although table win was 3% higher. Only <strong>Resorts Atlantic City<\/strong> posted a gain (10%), grossing $16.5 million.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ocean Resort<\/strong> slipped further into last place, booking less than <!--more-->$12 million in revenue. Borgata was tops with $56 million, followed by the Trop&#8217;s $25.5 million and <strong>Harrah&#8217;s Resort<\/strong>&#8216;s $25 million (-11%), <strong>Caesars Atlantic City<\/strong>&#8216;s $22 million (-3%) and <strong>Hard Rock Atlantic<\/strong> City&#8217;s ($21.5 million). Farther back were the <strong>Golden Nugget<\/strong> ($16.5 million, -6.5%) and <strong>Bally&#8217;s<\/strong> ($14.5 million, -7.5%). <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-11070\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/low_revel-199x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"199\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/low_revel-199x300.jpg 199w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/low_revel-99x150.jpg 99w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/low_revel.jpg 412w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 199px) 100vw, 199px\" \/>Sports betting in <strong>New Jersey<\/strong> vaulted 27%, reaching almost $331 million. Of that, $238.5 million was achieved through mobile wagering, far outstripping the terrestrial sports books. Statewide <em>win<\/em> approached $20 million. Walkup sports betting was led by the <strong>Meadowlands<\/strong>&#8216; <strong>FanDuel Sportsbook<\/strong>, (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pressofatlanticcity.com\/news\/press\/casinos_tourism\/n-j-clears-australian-company-for-online-sports-betting\/article_5aa865fc-90c3-560e-b05d-4d89362d8859.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">new home<\/a> to <strong>Australia<\/strong>&#8216;s <strong>PointsBet<\/strong>), which won $2.5 million. <strong>Ocean Resort<\/strong>, doing at least one thing right, was #2 with almost $2 million.\u00a0&#8220;<strong>DraftKings<\/strong>&#8216; advantage from being the first to hit the online market is slowly beginning to dissipate, and no New Jersey sportsbook will be affected more by legalization in <strong>New York<\/strong> than FanDuel at The Meadowlands,&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/new-jersey-sportsbooks-near-1-billion-in-wagers-300764629.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">warned <strong>PlayNJ.com<\/strong> analyst<\/a> <strong>Dustin Gouker<\/strong>. Cumulative handle in the Garden State is $928 million since the inception of sports betting. By contrast $528 million was wagered in <strong>Nevada<\/strong> in October\u00a0alone.<\/p>\n<p>* By contrast, <strong>Pennsylvania<\/strong> slot revenue was relatively calm, up 1%, as gambling rapidly proliferates in the Keystone State. The most dramatic change was a 19% moonshot at <strong>Valley Forge Casino Resort<\/strong> <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-15487\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Parx-slots.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"275\" height=\"183\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Parx-slots.jpg 275w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Parx-slots-150x99.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 275px) 100vw, 275px\" \/>($7.5 million), benefiting from an infusion of <strong>Boyd Gaming<\/strong>. <strong>Parx Casino<\/strong> was up 9% ($33 million), while <strong>Rivers Casino<\/strong> gained 8% to $23 million. <strong>Harrah&#8217;s Philadelphia<\/strong> ($15 million), <strong>The Meadows<\/strong> ($16 million) and <strong>Hollywood Casino<\/strong> ($16 million) were all flat. <strong>Sands Bethlehem<\/strong> ($22.5 million, -6.5%) continues to lose business to <strong>Resorts World Catskills<\/strong>, as does <strong>Mohegan Sun Pocono Downs<\/strong> ($14.5 million, -8%). <strong>Presque Isle Downs<\/strong> was off 5% to $8 million, <strong>Mount Airy Casino<\/strong> shed 5% ($11 million) and <strong>SugarHouse<\/strong> was down 1.5% but grossed $14 million.<\/p>\n<p>* The <strong>NBA<\/strong> is suddenly <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/chalk\/story\/_\/id\/25508038\/nba-partners-online-sportsbook-operator-stars-group\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">feeling the love<\/a> for <strong>Internet<\/strong> gambling. It has entered into a partnership with <strong>PokerStars<\/strong> parent <strong>The Stars Group<\/strong>. According to <strong>ESPN<\/strong>, Stars Group &#8220;will have the right to use official NBA betting data and league marks and logos across digital sports betting offerings.&#8221; Reciprocally, the NBA &#8220;will promote The Stars Group across the league&#8217;s digital assets, including <strong>NBA TV<\/strong>, <strong>NBA.com<\/strong>, the <strong>NBA App<\/strong> and NBA social media platforms.&#8221; You may recall that <strong>MGM Resorts International<\/strong> is already the official gaming partner of the NBA and <strong>WNBA<\/strong> (and owns a team in the latter league).
