Although it seemed as though the Nevada Gaming Control Board<\/strong> had forgotten about its investigation of sexual harassment at Wynn Resorts<\/strong>, it was merely running silent, running deep. It came to the surface today with a settlement agreement whereby Wynn \"\"will pay\u00a0an as-yet-undisclosed amount<\/a>. “We look forward to appearing before the Nevada Gaming Commission<\/strong> to review the settlement and establish the final resolution of the investigation,” said a press release, meaning that Wynn could still try to haggle\u00a0down the amount it will be fined. The Nevada record is $5.5 million. Whatever is agreed upon in the Silver State will probably serve as a reference point for the Massachusetts Gaming Commission<\/strong> when it levies its all-but-inevitable sanctions on the company. “Notably, the decision acknowledges that all WYNN employees mentioned in the NGCB report who were ‘aware of allegations of sexual assault against the company\u2019s former chairman and did not investigate or report it [are] no longer with the company,’ which we view as a positive\/has no negative implications for WYNN\u2019s current CEO Matt Maddox<\/strong>,” wrote JP Morgan<\/strong> analyst Joseph Greff<\/strong>, who took a positive view of the news: “We view this development as the beginning to the conclusion of a very difficult chapter in the company\u2019s history.”<\/p>\n

Speaking of settlements, Wynn Resorts has reportedly agreed to kiss and make up<\/a> with Resorts World Las Vegas<\/strong>, with an unspecified amount of money changing hands, presumably from Genting Group<\/strong> to Wynn over copy-catting of the Wynncore<\/strong> design.
