Both racinos were revenue-positive, with <strong>Hoosier Downs<\/strong> up 4% to $16.5 million and <strong>Indiana Downs<\/strong> rising 5% to $22 million. <strong>Belterra<\/strong> was flat at $10 million. Hardest-hit was market leader <strong>Horseshoe Southern Indiana<\/strong>, falling 12.5% to $18 million. <strong>Tropicana Evansville<\/strong> grossed $12.5 million (-6.5%), <strong>Rising Sun<\/strong> sank 6% ($4 million) and <strong>Hollywood Lawrenceburg<\/strong> won $15 million (-5.5%). Independent <strong>French Lick Resort<\/strong> was down 2% to $8 million.<\/p>\n<p>Upstate, only <strong>Majestic Star I<\/strong> impressed, up 9% to $8 million. <strong>Majestic Star II<\/strong> slipped a point to $5 million, <strong>Ameristar East Chicago<\/strong> had a terrible month, plunging <!--more-->14% to $16.5 million, while <strong>Horseshoe Hammond<\/strong> was flat at $33 million. <strong>Blue Chip<\/strong> shed a percentage point for a $13 million finish. <strong>Tribal Four Winds<\/strong> in <strong>South Bend<\/strong> doesn&#8217;t seem to be having much impact, probably because it&#8217;s a Class II facility in a Class III marketplace.<\/p>\n<p>* <strong>Missouri<\/strong> was 4% lower last month, no reason given, although a bad run of luck at table games (11% down) would seem to be the primary culprit. Total <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-10965\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Ameristar-St-Charles-300x240.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"240\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Ameristar-St-Charles-300x240.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Ameristar-St-Charles-150x120.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Ameristar-St-Charles.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>revenues were $144.5 million. It wasn&#8217;t <strong>Boyd Gaming<\/strong>&#8216;s month, what with <strong>Ameristar St. Charles<\/strong> off 2.5% to $23 million. <strong>Ameristar Kansas City<\/strong>\u00a0had it even worse, plummeting 11% to $16 million. <strong>Penn National Gaming<\/strong> did rather better. <strong>Argosy Riverside<\/strong> jumped 9% to $14.5 million and <strong>Hollywood St. Louis<\/strong> was up a point to $20.5 million. Penn wasn&#8217;t so fortunate at <strong>River City<\/strong> (-7%, $18 million), while <strong>Eldorado Resorts<\/strong> fell 6.5% to $12.5 million at <strong>Lumiere Place<\/strong>. <strong>Harrah&#8217;s North Kansas City<\/strong> shed 5.5% to $14 million.<\/p>\n<p>Eldorado&#8217;s <strong>Isle of Capri<\/strong> flotilla was a mixed bag. In <strong>Kansas City<\/strong> it plunged 9% to $5 million, was flat in <strong>Caruthersville<\/strong> ($3 million), down 5.5% in <strong>Boonsville<\/strong> ($7 million) and off a whopping 14.5% in <strong>Cape Girardeau<\/strong> ($4.5 million).<\/p>\n<p>* <em>VitalVegas<\/em> reports that <strong>Resorts World Las Vegas<\/strong> is abandoning its Asian theme. Isn&#8217;t a bit late in the day for that? It never seemed like a great idea, verging on self-parody. So, if true, kudos to <strong>Genting<\/strong> for rethinking this.<\/p>\n<p>* Planning on attending a convention at <strong>Mandalay Bay<\/strong>? The grounds and filters from your complimentary coffee will go to recycler <strong>Terra Firma<\/strong>, which will devolve them into fertilizer. Twelve tons of grounds have already been diverted from landfills. You go, MBay.<\/p>\n<p>* <strong>Encore Boston Harbor<\/strong> made headlines by hosting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bostonglobe.com\/lifestyle\/names\/2019\/08\/09\/tony-bennett-performs-private-concert-encore-boston-harbor-casino\/Gg3R1uOJ6bqS5kD9DCxEoL\/story.html?et_rid=753721489&amp;s_campaign=metroheadlines:newsletter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">a private concert<\/a> by <strong>Tony Bennett<\/strong>. 200 lucky souls attended the event, held in the Picasso Ballroom.
