It took two years but there is finally justice for the victims and survivors of the Mandalay Bay Massacre<\/strong>. They have reached a \"\"$735 million settlement<\/a> with MGM Resorts International<\/strong>. That tab could exceed $800 million if more plaintiffs opt in. So far, the families of 58 victims are covered. Their lead attorney, Robert Eglet<\/strong>, said\u00a0\u201cWhile nothing will be able to bring back the lives lost or undo the horrors so many suffered on that day, this settlement will provide fair compensation for thousands of victims and their families.\u201d Let’s hope this is the end of the long, traumatic road back from Stephen Paddock<\/strong>‘s motiveless domestic terrorism\u2014and thank heavens the victims and their loved ones were spared the drama of acrimonious and prolonged legal proceedings.<\/p>\n

* Could Las Vegas<\/strong> be the final stop on Bernie Sanders<\/strong>‘ (D) campaign trail? The Vermont<\/strong> senator, in Sin City to meet with SEIU<\/strong>, suffered heart trouble<\/a> and had to have two stents inserted.
