Republicans made some concessions (attaching strings to corporate bailouts) and Democrats made others (no forgiveness or deferment for student loans). It&#8217;s not yet <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-11565\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/United_States_Capitol_west_front-300x155.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"155\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/United_States_Capitol_west_front-300x155.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/United_States_Capitol_west_front-150x77.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/United_States_Capitol_west_front.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>clear how much of its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/gaming-too-big-to-fail-sports-betting-gets-creative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">wish list<\/a> the casino industry got, although it appears there will be some tax deferrals\u2014payroll taxes\u2014and loans. Whether casinos qualify for the latter remains to be seen. <strong>Trump International Las Vegas<\/strong> won&#8217;t. The <strong>American Gaming Association<\/strong>&#8216;s most outrageous demand\u2014for a direct cash infusion\u2014appears to have vanished. As for &#8220;special bankruptcy protections,&#8221; hopefully they won&#8217;t be needed but that can has been <!--more-->kicked down the road. There are still a lot of moving parts but the resort industry looks like it&#8217;s caught a break, with Congress playing the part of the responsible adult and not giving away the store.<\/p>\n<p>Shame, however, on the <strong>Sahara<\/strong>, which\u2014I was just informed\u2014laid off its workforce without any severance whatsoever.
