“I have noticed a definite reduction of postings to this blog. Is there just nothing to write about or is everything going to Twitter<\/strong>? I don’t twitter and really miss the information from this blog<\/em>.”<\/p>\n Where to start? First, my apologies for any falloff in output. We did lose roughly a couple of weeks recently when some serious glitches rendered our S&G<\/em> blogging software FUBAR, which put S&G<\/em> behind the curve on the Station Casinos<\/strong> bankruptcy and the unraveling of some major stories on the East Coast. We’re (mostly) back to normal, although inexplicable deviations still occur — like last Friday’s essay on “Who killed Atlantic City<\/strong>?” showing up in the right-hand column.<\/p>\n When stories don’t merit more than a sentence or two of mention, they’ve been consigned to the S&G<\/em> Twitter feed (@stiffsgeorges<\/strong>). However, later this week I hope to restore the Twitter tab that formerly adorned the right side of the page and allows one to read the S&G<\/em> tweets without having a Twitter account. Hopefully that will remove some of the inconvenience or any unintentional connotation that some S&G readers are more equal than others.<\/p>\n As for this week’s (to date) measly output that can be attributed to my attention being taken up with several other projects. As fate would have it, this coincided with the release of a clutch of earnings reports.
