In colorful map form, it shows Obama winning Downtown (handily) and most of the Strip &#8230; save for <strong>MGM Mirage&apos;<\/strong>s string of properties from <strong>New York-New York<\/strong> northward through <strong>Bellagio<\/strong>. (Yes, you can tell your friends a Republican won &quot;New York&quot; this year.) I&apos;m happy to report that my neighborhood went pretty gosh-darn &quot;blue,&quot; while unassailable fortresses of support for Sen. <strong>John McCain<\/strong> included <strong>CityCenter<\/strong>, <strong>The Cosmopolitan<\/strong> and <strong>Monte Carlo<\/strong>, along with <strong>Summerlin<\/strong>, <strong>Boulder City<\/strong>, <strong>Southern Highlands<\/strong> and that hotbed of populism, <strong>Lake Las Vegas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today&apos;s Las Vegas Sun has a precinct-by-precinct breakdown of how President-elect Barack Obama won the Las Vegas metro area.
