Now that The Greatest TV Show of All Time<\/strong> (sorry, Star Trek<\/em>) is back for Season Four, here’s Christina Hendricks<\/strong>, who portrays my favorite Mad Men<\/em> character, Joan Holloway<\/strong>. In this interview, she has a Joan Holloway-like effect on the anchorman, who’s reduced to inchoate babbling:

For those of you whose despair at the absence of the kind of Vegas seen in old movies, the notion of a Mad Men<\/em> fashion trend should be appealing. Arrow shirts and Bermuda shorts would be a far preferable sight on the Strip to the douchebagerie<\/em> with their Ed Hardy<\/strong> apparel and aluminum bottles of Bud Lite<\/strong> seemingly glued to their right hands — even in the Monte Carlo<\/strong> swimming pool. What a pity that the fashion arbiter of Vegas is Europoseur Christian Audigier and not Roger Sterling<\/strong> or Don Draper<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

P.S.:<\/strong> S&G<\/em> had a Christina Hendricks sighting at the Viva Elvis<\/em><\/a> premiere and she couldn’t look less like Joan Holloway in real life: pale and surprisingly petite. Gene Simmons<\/strong> was also there, trailed by a video crew and generally being an asshat. His son and the long-suffering Shannon Tweed<\/strong> sat elsewhere.
