And if <strong>Chad Mollman<\/strong>&#8216;s correct, does this mean Steve Wynn has soured on his proposed <strong>Boston<\/strong> casino? That Wynn&#8217;s getting to be a mighty fickle fellow these days.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Designers wanted<\/strong>. And, boy, does <strong>Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino<\/strong> in upstate <strong>New York<\/strong> need them:<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6914\" title=\"CASINO625\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/CASINO625.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"396\" height=\"264\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/CASINO625.jpg 396w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/CASINO625-150x100.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/CASINO625-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 396px) 100vw, 396px\" \/>Isn&#8217;t that just about the butt-ugliest casino you&#8217;ve ever seen. It looks like a damn warehouse and sure doesn&#8217;t connote &#8220;fun.&#8221; <strong>Seneca Gaming Corp<\/strong>. thinks <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wkbw.com\/news\/local\/Movement-in-Development-of-Seneca-Creek-Casino-123543769.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">there&#8217;s room for improvement<\/a> and <em>S&amp;G<\/em> has never concurred so strongly with an opinion in living memory.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-6915\" title=\"Barton\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/Barton.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"181\" height=\"278\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/Barton.jpg 181w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/Barton-97x150.jpg 97w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 181px) 100vw, 181px\" \/>Through the side door?<\/strong> Online poker has a well-placed friend in Rep. <strong>Joe Barton<\/strong> (R-TX, <em>left<\/em>) and he hopes to introduce its legalization through a somewhat unusual venue: the <strong>Energy &amp; Commerce Committee<\/strong>. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lasvegassun.com\/news\/2011\/jun\/10\/key-conservative-joins-harry-reid-effort-legalize-\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The usual legislative avenues are blocked<\/a> by gambling-averse chairmen. <strong>Internet<\/strong> sites that have been misbehaving &#8212; such as perhaps <strong>PokerStars<\/strong> &#8212; would probably have to go sit in the corner for a year or so. That&#8217;d work out nicely for <strong>Caesars Entertainment<\/strong>, its online partner (<strong>888<\/strong>) having escaped <strong>Pokergeddon<\/strong> this spring. Caesars\/888 might have as many as 15 months to try and corner the marketplace. My <strong>Capitol Hill<\/strong> connection tells me that Sen. <strong>Harry Reid<\/strong>&#8216;s support for legalization, though, is &#8220;soft.&#8221; Worse still, Reid <a href=\"http:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/stories\/0611\/56374.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">couldn&#8217;t deliver a ham sandwich these days<\/a>, much less a controversial piece of legislation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sheldon Adelson, mark<\/strong>. Four years ago, the <strong>Las Vegas Sands<\/strong> CEO lavished cash <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freerepublic.com\/focus\/f-news\/1927630\/posts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">and aircraft<\/a> on the short-lived <strong>Rudy Giuliani<\/strong> presidential campaign. Giuliani repaid Adelson&#8217;s generosity by basically going on a paid vacation.\u00a0 (The <strong>Fertitta Brothers<\/strong> also got plucked by &#8220;America&#8217;s Mayor.&#8221;) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/stories\/0611\/56296.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">Flash forward to 2011<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/stories\/0611\/56670.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">history is repeating itself<\/a>. Does Adelson go around wearing a big &#8220;Kick Me&#8221; sign or something?<\/p>\n<p>(For the curious, Adelson&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newsmeat.com\/billionaire_political_donations\/Sheldon_Adelson.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">history of &#8220;george&#8221; donations<\/a> can be perused at leisure.
