Some of you might get a kick out of going back to a time when Yr. Humble Blogger was in short pants and a crew cut, and flying was actually <em><!--more-->enjoyable<\/em> &#8230; and friendly. Now it&#8217;s just a damn chore.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-3058\" title=\"texasstation-pic\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/texasstation-pic.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"209\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/texasstation-pic.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/texasstation-pic-150x104.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Silly Season<\/strong>. You&#8217;d think bankruptcy might crimp a company&#8217;s ability to file frivolous lawsuits. Not if that company is <strong>Station Casinos<\/strong>, which is going after the <strong>Revolver Lounge<\/strong> in <strong>Scottsdale<\/strong>, <strong>Arizona<\/strong>, because <a href=\"http:\/\/www.azcentral.com\/community\/scottsdale\/articles\/2011\/07\/08\/20110708scottsdale-revolver-sued-over-logo-casino.html\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"broken_link\">the lounge&#8217;s logo might resemble<\/a> that of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/referenceguide-nightspotdetail.cfm?NightspotID=984&amp;type=Cool Bar&amp;itemname=Revolver Bar &amp; Saloon\" target=\"_self\"><strong>Revolver Bar &amp; Saloon<\/strong><\/a> at <strong>Texas Station<\/strong>. Yes, I know: It&#8217;s so easy to confuse Scottsdale with <strong>North Las Vegas<\/strong>. Happens to me all the time. (<em>Helpful hint<\/em>: One has people in it, the other doesn&#8217;t.) The lawsuit is filed by <strong>NP Opco<\/strong>, one of Station&#8217;s fecund LLC spawn, fathered by CFO <strong>Marc Falcone<\/strong>, who used to have better things to do with his time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thanks go out to reader Greg Askins for putting me onto this evocative TWA travel poster from 1965.
