Not to worry: According to the union’s political director, Pilar Weiss<\/b>, the two parties inked a new labor pact in February (boy, do I feel like Rip van Winkle<\/b>), so Golden Gate co-owner Mark Brandenburg<\/b> can presumably set sail beneath a cloudless sky, as far as his remake plans are concerned.<\/p>\n
Now that the Gate, the Golden Nugget, the Four Queens<\/a> and (coming soon) Binion’s<\/a> are presenting shiny new faces to downtown, the pressure will be on Boyd Gaming<\/b> and perennial laggard Tamares Group<\/b> to provide a spiffier product.
