\"\"Remember how<\/strong>, back when the Planet Hollywood<\/strong> casino-hotel was assimilated into the Caesars Entertainment<\/strong> matrix, former owner Robert Earl<\/strong> was going to remain a high-visibility, hands-on presence? Uh-huh. That was about the last time anyone in Vegas heard the words “Robert Earl” … until this week, anyway. His Buca di Beppo<\/strong> restaurant chain, serving Italian food by the gallon, is opening its first Strip location on Boxing Day (Dec. 26 to us yanks) — at Excalibur Hotel & Casino<\/strong>. Yes, Earl must be very important to the head togas at Caesars if they’re willing to let a Planet Hollywood-branded restaurant set up shop on one of the lowest rungs of the MGM Resorts International<\/strong> food chain.
