One of the concepts behind LVA Travel is finding you great deals (and cheap flights), like the Mohegan Sun Aspire deal. For us, there’s nothing so satisfying as earning points and miles, while knowing that we are doing it on the cheap. (We’re a little weird that way.)

In the future, we look forward to talking more about destinations around the globe, whether that’s an individually-booked trip, or more integrated deal, such as a cruise or travel package.

But for now, we’re going to start with the site’s theme: Las Vegas. Sin City is primarily a leisure destination, so fares are always reasonable, but we’re working with notiflyr to find some that are even more valuable than usual. Fortunately, we’ve found some. Here is a sample of what we’re seeing from some large cities.

Find Cheap Flights to Vegas

cheap fare Philadelphia to Las Vegas PHL-LAS
Philadelphia to Las Vegas

Philadelphia — Las Vegas From $177

This is one of the best deals that I’ve seen in a while, and you can thank ultra-low cost carrier (ULCC) Frontier Airlines for that. Fares start at $177 round-trip from Philadelphia! That’s $88.50 each way across the country, or approximately the same price as a cab to the hotel when the driver long-hauls you.

Keep in mind that Frontier charges fees for everything, whether that’s a seat assignment or a can of Coke.

Frontier charges fees for everything, whether that’s a seat assignment or a can of Coke. If you want to fly a major carrier, be sure to check out American. It’s only an additional $33 round-trip. Because of the fees that Frontier charges, I think the American flight is the better deal.

Atlanta — Las Vegas From $197

Flights from Atlanta are being brought to you by TWO ultra-low cost carriers, Frontier and Spirit. Again, Frontier wins the lowest-price game with a $197 round-trip, while Spirit follows closely at $228.

Again, you’ll be dealing with nickel and diming fees, so you may want to look at a major carrier. Delta flights start at $255 round-trip.

Chicago — Las Vegas From $185

From deep-dish to thin-crust, get your pizza fix for only $185. Spirit Airlines is the one leading the charge on this fare.

Want to fly a network carrier? Be sure to check out United for $240. The gap is clearly widening a bit, but remember to check the prices after all charges are included.

New York — Las Vegas From $219

What I love about this deal is that the lowest price is from a major carrier. Delta is stepping up to the plate with a $219 round-trip deal from New York’s JFK to Las Vegas.

How can you beat $109.50 each way from the country’s most expensive city? Heck, car services to the airport start at $60, and you don’t need to tip the flight attendants. Personally, I prefer the cheap way. The train is just fine for me.

fare deal cheap flight London to Las Vegas
London to Las Vegas | Pretty Cheap

London — Las Vegas From $456 (£361)

Not thrilled with the gaming clubs in London? We’ve got you covered overseas, as well. Fly with Finnair for a measly $456 and get ready to use your savings at the baccarat tables. (Be sure to check out the post on notiflyr.)

That flight has a stopover at JFK in each direction, so the question becomes whether you want to pay a bit extra for the non-stop. You have two choices:

  • You can fly nonstop to Las Vegas on American for $497 round-trip, but you’ll have a stop on the way back.
  • Virgin Atlantic/Delta can do it nonstop in both directions, and it’s not particularly onerous. Get to sin city in only 10 hours for $516.

More Flight Deals Are Available

The sale is from many major cities in the United States, as well as a few internationally. In the United States, the fare represents an “attack” on the pricing from airline hub cities by the ultra-low cost carriers.

We love these types of deals. When airlines battle with each other, which happens more than occasionally, ridiculously cheap flights often become available, albeit briefly. Even better: They retaliate against each other. For instance, if American launches low fares to Atlanta (a Delta hub), Delta will reciprocate by offering cheap flights to a city like Dallas (an American hub). Those wars often go national, opening up the whole country to great offers.

Airlines are just the start. We look forward to finding similar bargains in all aspects of travel. It may be by “travel type,” such as hotels, cruises or package deals. We’re also looking into popular travel destinations, such as Disney World or Hawaii.

Eyes Wide Open – Flight Deals

So please, keep your eyes open and your fingers ready to type, since we never know what we will come across or how long it will last!

And finally, one more big hat tip to Notiflyr, who was kind enough to share these deals with us.
