Today, Hyatt announced a similar program, offering double points at all properties except Hyatt Place, where you will earn triple points. Your bonus points will start on your second stay, and MGM’s M life’s properties do count. Great news, when there is a Hyatt Promotion for Double Points in Las Vegas.

For those who are keeping track, World of Hyatt is my preferred hotel loyalty scheme (My wife prefers Hilton.). Their points are valuable, the properties top-notch and the elite status program is the best in the business.

Hyatt’s Bonus Journeys is a simple promotion. Starting with your second stay from September 15 — December 15, you’ll earn the following:

  • Triple Points at Hyatt Place hotels. Hyatt Place is the company’s upscale brand, meant to compete with brands like Hampton Inn from Hilton. Hyatt trails its competitors badly in that segment, so it’s going to give you an added incentive to get to know it. I’ve stayed at Hyatt Place properties before and will vouch for them. They’re worth a shot.
  • Earn double points at the rest of their brands, including the the various Hyatt iterations, Andaz and partners such as M life or Small Luxury Hotels of the World. (Emphasis on: Hyatt Promotion Double Points in Las Vegas.)

What to Keep in Mind

  • You need to register for the promotion by October 31. So if Halloween comes along and you haven’t done so, you get tricks, not treats.
  • The bonus points only start with your second stay, a condition that is becoming increasingly common and just as frustrating. If your first stay is an award night, it will count toward the promo.

Remember, according to our eight rules of points and miles, you should register for the promotion even if you don’t plan on staying at a Hyatt property. You never know.
