Welcome to the new Travel, Points and Miles section of Las Vegas Advisor. (More details about Las Vegas Advisor History.) We are Michael Trager and Mike Friedman, and will be your guide to the world of loyalty programs and award travel. Whether you are new to the world of travel points or have been tracking your miles for years, we have tips and tricks to help you get farther for less, whether that’s Las Vegas or anywhere else in the world.
Just Getting Started
- Our guide to the basics of points and miles.
- Want to get around the world a little easier? Check out our post on airline alliances.
- An overview of the US airline and major hotel programs.
- Taking advantage of cash back shopping portals to get rebates on every online purchase, whether or not they’re travel related
Our Goal – “Free”
Our goal is simple: We want to help you travel for free and then, when you get to your destination, eat and stay there for free, as well.
Award Travel – Easier Than You Think
Travel rewards (Award Travel) are easy to accumulate and, best of all, you don’t need to be a big spender to earn the best rewards. Earn enough over time and you can be flying around the world in First Class, the airline equivalent of a high roller suite (Strip view, of course).
Thanks for joining us. We hope that we can entertain you but, more importantly, we hope that you’ll soon be traveling in style for free.
