David McKee knew nothing of the gaming industry when he started working for Casino Executive magazine as copy editor in 1995. Finding himself unexpectedly fascinated with the content, he moved to Las Vegas from Minneapolis when he became Casino Executive’s managing editor. He followed that with stints as managing editor at Casino Journal and Global Gaming Business. From there he became a reporter and news editor for the Las Vegas Business Press, his last stop before arriving at Huntington Press in 2007. When not writing his Stiffs & Georges news column and answering Question of the Day, he moonlights as North America Editor for Casino Life, a British publication.
Following his other interests, David was classical-music critic for the Twin Cities Reader, roving reporter and video reviewer for Opera News, contributing editor for The Opera Quarterly, and a CD reviewer for the American Record Guide. At Las Vegas CityLife, he split his time between enterprise stories and DVD reviewing. It was through CityLife that David met his future wife, Jennifer Prosser.
They now live in Augusta, Georgia, where Jennifer is a manager at the corporate headquarters of Morris Worldwide Media Network and they share a beautiful home with four cats. Although geographically removed from the physical sphere of gambling, David keeps on top of it through the magic of the Internet, working from a sunroom with a spectacular view of blooming wildflowers and considering himself a very fortunate man.
