Jeffrey Compton showed up at Huntington Press in 1992, shortly after the publication of Comp City — A Guide to Free Las Vegas Vacations, a book about earning comps at casino table games. He proposed to write a companion book about the developing phenomenon of players clubs for slot machine aficionados. The result was The Las Vegas Advisor Guide to Slot Clubs, for which he became a member of every slot club in Nevada (and many nationwide). Today, he runs CDC Gaming Reports, one of the world’s largest gaming-industry business-news websites.
