March Madness 2019

The March Madness college basketball tournament begins Tuesday, March 19, with the first play-in games, but the main event is Thursday through Sunday, as visitors from all over the country come in for opening weekend. You really can’t go wrong if you watch the games in any casino sports book or non-casino sports bar, but following is a rundown with several recommendations for viewing parties.

 

El Cortez – March 21-24, Thurs & Fri, 9 a.m.-9 p.m; Sat & Sun, 11 a.m.-9 p.m.

El Cortez kicks off March Madness with Beer, Brats, and Brackets: $4 brats, $3 hot dogs, $3 Bud Light or Shock Top, and $3 Coke, Diet Coke, or Sprite.

 

The D – March 21-24

The D holds its annual free Hoop Viewing Party on the 12th-floor Detroit Ballroom. Betting stations, food, and drink will be available for purchase.

Man Caves are also available to rent, which include all you can eat and drink, 4 TVs with sound, and a $25 matchplay chip. Packages are $175/4 hours, $228/8 hours, and $275 for the entire day.

 

Westgate – March 21-24, 8 a.m.

A free party held in the International Theater offers satellite betting stations and food and drink specials. You can purchase a reserved seat and a beer for $25.

 

Treasure Island – 7:30 a.m.

Held in TI’s ballroom, this free event offers banquet-table seating with food and beverage concessions and satellite betting stations.

 

Boyd Gaming – March Hoopla – March 1-31

Catch all the March Madness action at a Boyd Gaming property (Aliante, Orleans, Gold Coast, Suncoast, Sam’s Town, California, Fremont, Main Street Station, Eastside Cannery, Cannery, Joker’s Wild, or Eldorado) where beer buckets are $15 for domestic and $20 for Craft and Imports.

 

South Point

This free party offers a seat, access to betting stations, and food and drink specials.

 

Rampart Casino – March 21-24

B-Ball Madness Bash will take place in the race and sports book. Specials include draft beers starting at $3.

 

PKWY Tavern, Tivoli Village – March 21-24

PKWY Tavern is taking over the Tivoli Village parking lot for the March Madness celebration. Enjoy plenty of food and fun and a chance to win prizes in a free basketball competition.

 

Plaza – March 21-24, $15 one day pass/$40 four day pass

The Plaza will hold the March Mania viewing Party in its Event Center. Each package includes a T-shirt and one complimentary drink and food choice per day.

 

Golden Nugget – March 21-24, $159-$499

Enjoy the March Fever Viewing Party at the Grand Events Center. All VIP packages include all-you-can-eat stadium-style food and four premium-drink tickets.

 

Top Golf VIP Event – March 21, 2 p.m.-4 p.m.

March 21, the Budweiser Clydesdales will make an appearance at Top Golf to kick off March Madness. Fans are welcome to meet and take photos with all eight Clydesdales.

March 22, 9 a.m., $249 per person

The Top Golf viewing party includes reserved seating, complimentary soft drinks, Morning Tipoff (mimosas, breakfast pastries, coffee), Lunch Appetizer (sliders, sandwiches, tuna tacos, and more), Evening Cocktails (4-7 p.m premium open bar), and Las Vegas Prime (New York strip loin steak, asparagus, whipped potatoes, bearnaise, chimichurri, dinner rolls, and chopped salad).

 

Rockhouse, Grand Canal Shops – March 21-24, 8 a.m., $150 half-day/$240 full day

Join the party for college hoops and action. Full- and half-day packages are available with guaranteed seating and premium open bar.

 

Beer Park, Paris – March 21-24, 9 a.m., $175-$1,000

Watch all of the tournament games on multiple TVs and screens at Beer Park with a variety of food and beverage packages.

 

The Still, Mirage – March 21-24,9 a.m.-3 p.m. & 3 p.m.-9 p.m.

Round 1: $125 F&B minimum per session/$250 F&B minimum all day

Round 2: $100  F&B minimum per session/$200 F&B minimum all day

The Still’s annual Brackets and Beer event is back for this year’s playoffs. Seating is available for parties large and small.

 

Smoked Burgers & BBQ – March 21-23, 9 a.m., $150

You’ll get guaranteed seating, an all-you-can-eat menu, and a premium open bar. Includes all wells, calls, and premiums, bottled and draft beer.

 

Monte Cristo Cigar Bar, Caesars Palace – March 21-31, $239-$1,262

Choose from several different packages at this cigar and whiskey lounge with four distinct rooms.

 

Vista Cocktail Lounge – March 21-30, 9 a.m., $251/$314

$251 package includes family-style seating with open bar and access to the all-you-can-eat buffet.

$314 package includes an exclusive seat with a premium-drink open bar and access to the game-day buffet.

 

Planet Hollywood – March 21-23, $153

This huge party features an open beer bar, all-you-can-eat buffet, betting station, and more.

 

PBR Rock Bar, Miracle Mile – March 21-24, $150/$240

PBR Rock Bar is offering full- and half-day packages with guaranteed seating and access to an open bar. Food will be available for purchase (not included in the price).

 

Blondies Sports Bar & Grill, Miracle Mile – Daily, 7 a.m.-2 a.m., $25-$50 per seat

Featuring 35 plasma TVs broadcasting every game, beer bucket specials, $5 Jägermeister shots, $6 Cazadores shots, and more.

 

AmeriCAN Beer & Cocktails, LINQ – March 21-31, $90-$120

Join the March Mayhem Party for March Madness! Half- and full-day packages are available for purchase. All packages include your seat and premium open bar.

 

Cosmopolitan – March 21-23, $150/$225/$475

Hoops & Hops offers three different packages for your viewing pleasure. All packages enjoy an open bar with well liquor, beer, wine, soda, and water (Red Bull and shots not included). Interactive games, round table, and open-bar seating are available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

 

The Foundry, SLS – March 21-23, 9 a.m.-9 p.m., $59

Experience the tournament madness at The Foundry and enjoy unlimited buffet-style dining and access to the William Hill betting stations. Drink menus will be available.

 

Umami Burger, Beer Garden, & Sports Book – SLS – March 21-23, 9 a.m., $127-$1,277

Catch the games on over 50 high-definition TVs and giant video wall, with open bar, game-day fare, and access to William Hill betting stations. Guests may upgrade to the premium-drink package for $40.

 

Hofbrauhaus Las Vegas – March 21-24, $125 half-day/$200 full-day

The Mad Haus package includes all you can drink Hofbrau beer, Tito’s infused Ultimate Bloody Mary, wine, well drinks, non-alcoholic beverages, all you can eat from the Mad Haus menu, and guaranteed seating.

 

Hard Rock Cafe – March 23, 9 a.m.-9 p.m., $220

Catch all the hoop action at the Hard Rock Cafe with three days of viewing parties. You’ll get a guaranteed seat, an open bar featuring call brands, and an all-you-can-eat buffet of game-day favorites.

 

The Mint – March 21, $125

Swing into The Mint to catch March Mayhem with full-day open-bar packages. All packages guarantee a seat and premium open bar.

 

Ellis Island – March 21-24, $50-$110

Choose from morning, evening, or full-day viewing options. Each ticket includes unlimited access to game-day buffet, all-you-can-drink Ellis Island beer, and an Ellis Island March Mania T-shirt. Prizes will be given out throughout the game. Morning sessions 8 a.m.-3 p.m., evening sessions 3-10 p.m.

 

Underground Lounge/Porch, Hooters – March 21-22, 9 a.m.-9 p.m., $99 per person per day/$150 pre-reserve both days

Hooters & Hoops Viewing Party includes guaranteed seating, all-you-can-drink draft beer, and an all-you-can-eat buffet. Drink upgrades are available for $35 (well drinks) or $55 (premium drinks)

 

Crazy Horse lll – March 14-April 3, $50

Book your package online, $50 per person. Plus enjoy Bud Light beer-bucket specials, $20.

 

Sapphire’s – March 17-30

Sapphire’s is hosting a special viewing for the games. Get on the guest list, pay a reduced cover charge, and enjoy free limo transportation. Packages start at $55 and must be purchased online.
