Two days ago I quoted CoreLogic’s Case-Schiller Index findings for March. Sales price increases were slowing a bit, with Las Vegas still leading the price increases in the top markets in the U.S. Not to be confused with prices dropping, this was a slowing of the upward trajectory for house prices.
One day later, Zillow announces price drops in 34 of the top 35 housing markets in the country for April. Only New York home prices held study.
SMH. Prices dropped just a smidge, but wow, that was a fast about face.
