With overwhelming sadness, the creator and host of Hockey Knights in Vegas, Eddie Rivkin, shares the passing of co-host Joe Pane on April 4th, 2023.
Joe and I were friends for over 20 years and shared countless stories, meals, and most of all a love of the NHL.
Together, we tried to bring the VGK into people’s living rooms from the perspective of the knowledgeable fan, not the media. We were honest through and through, critical when justified, complimentary when the same. We relentlessly ribbed each other on the podcast, but were never mean-spirited, just a couple of salty hockey guys busting each other’s chops.
Episode 50 was supposed to be a watershed moment for Joe and me.
Instead, it’s a tribute to a great character, man, and friend. I asked three of Joe and my friends from the press row to join me in celebrating Joe and talking VGK, which I’m sure Joe would want us to do.
