There was no partying on May 5 last year, but things are coming back in Las Vegas and there’s enough Cinco de Mayo action to justify posting a list. These are the more high-profile gatherings we were able to round up.
Downtown Container Park
Downtown Container Park offers a fiesta filled week of live entertainment, food, and drink specials. On May 5 from 5 p.m.-11 p.m. there will be a taco-fueled rodeo featuring mechanical bull rides, with the purchase of food and drinks. Drink specials will be available from open to close May 5-8.
Cabo Wabo – Planet Hollywood
Cabo Wabo celebrates Cinco de Mayo with a limited edition dish and endless margaritas, including the CW Margarita priced at $14.95.
China Poblano – Cosmopolitan
The Tequila Mezcal Festival at China Poblano which began on April 30, continues through May 11 with dishes made from traditional Mayan ingredients and specialty cocktails.
El Segundo Sol – Fashion Show Mall
El Segundo Sol will celebrate Cinco de Mayo with dining specials and live entertainment May 5 through May 8.
The X Pot – Grand Canal Shoppes
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with $12 Specialty Tequila/Mezcal Cocktails and half-off Mexican beers. There will also be a live DJ performing in the lounge area from 6 p.m.-midnight.
Senor Frogs – Treasure Island
Drinking, dancing, partying. Senor Frogs Open Bar is legendary. Get your open bar and it includes your cover charge! Open bar 9 p.m.-till close. $65
Tilted Kilt – LINQ
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with drink specials, including $7 shots of Patron and 1800 Tequila, $7 pints of Modelo and Dos Equis lager and $8 margaritas.
Arizona Charlie’s Boulder & Decatur
All day May 5 through May 9, all bars will offer a shot of Patron Silver and a Modelo Especial for $5 in celebration of Cinco de Mayo.
PT’s Tavern
In celebration of Cinco de Mayo through May 7, all PT’s will offer $5 Patron Silver margaritas and $4 Patron Silver shots. Plus SG Bar, Sierra Gold, and Gold Taverns will offer $2 chicken tacos.
El Cortez
The El Cortez which celebrates its 80th anniversary this year, will celebrate Cinco de Mayo with $5 shots of Patron, $5 1800 margaritas, and feature a roaming mariachi band from 5 p.m.-7 p.m.
