Ellis Island does a creative brunch on Mondays. The “Monday Lounge Brunch” runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and features bottomless bloody Marys and mimosas for $12. There’s also six entrée choices for $6.99 each.
We can vouch for the eggs Benedict and the quiche.
As for the atmosphere, it’s a pretty cool scene with what seems like mostly tourists working off their Sunday-football hangovers. There’s live music from a dude that seems like the worst performer you’ve ever heard until you listen for a while and start to get him (or is it the booze?). Regardless, this a good way to keep the weekend rolling into the Monday-night game.
