El Cortez has joined forces with the Mob Museum to create the History Hallway at the oldest continuously operating casino in downtown Las Vegas.
The back hallway between the casino and the coin-dropper machines near Seigel’s 1941 previously hosted a handful of historic photographs. Now, a number of new photos have been added, along with descriptive placards for many of the pictures.
The photos are displayed in chronological order as you move south to north through the hallway, so the best place to start is at the entrance near the casino restrooms.
If you’re at all curious about organized crime and/or Las Vegas history, definitely check out the Hallway the next time you’re in the neighborhood. It’s absolutely free and if you like what you see, you can always continue your education at the the Mob Museum, just a few blocks away.

Never miss another post
I viewed the corridor and went to the Mob Museum (which I’d been to once before, about 7-8 years ago) last week. Very entertaining, and I didn’t spend nearly as much money as I would have had I been gambling!
