The 45-story Wynn hotel is a travel-award-winning resort with 2,700 rooms (double beds and kings) and two sizes of suites, all with floor-to-ceiling picture windows and bedside touch-screen curtain, 42-inch HDTV, minibar, oversized marble bath, separate shower, and 13-inch TV in the bath. Amenities include a spa and salon, gym, "toptional" pools and hot tubs, and two showrooms; the property also has its own 18-hole golf course right out the back door. Shops include Prada, Rolex, Chanel, Cartier, and Vuitton. Three of the restaurants -- out of 15 combined at Wynn and Encore, each with vegetarian and vegan menus -- overlook the Lake of Dreams, shaded by towering pines and fed by a 40-foot waterfall; after dark, a nightly show is projected against the waterfall using 4,000 lights, holographics, puppetry, and music, and is a sight to behold. Take the circular escalator from Parasol Up at Wynn and experience the dazzling show while enjoying a cocktail at Parasol Down, or go out on the show terrace for a water's-edge view while dining at the open-front Lakeside or SW Steakhouse, or while enjoying appetizers, desserts, or cocktails on SW Veranda.
