My LVA is Late (%#$@^#)!

July 12, 2017 1 Comment Written by Anthony Curtis

We’ve been hearing a lot about mailed issues arriving late. In fact, I talk about it with perturbed customers on almost a monthly basis.

We understand that the LVA is often not received until a week or more into the current month, but there’s no way around that. The choices are, a) get the newsletter to the printer 10 days before the first of the new month, or b) get it to the printer at the end of each month so the most current information is included. The first allows the newsletter to arrive around the first, while the second ensures that the information is as current and complete as possible. We’ve chosen the second option. Hence, if you’re getting mailed copies, the issue will usually arrive within the first week of each month, but it won’t when there’s a holiday, such as the Fourth of July this month.

If you get the mailed copy, but want/need the information sooner, issues are always posted online before the 1st, so you can get both accuracy and time-sensitive access. We now have more online than hard-copy readers, so this is the way we will continue to publish.

If you’re new to LVA, and interested in the newsletter that comes with our awesome Member Rewards Book of coupons, you can check out the sample copy from November 2016.

On the lighter side, if you think your issue is late, take a gander at a few that we just got returned. They were mailed in April 2000, September 2002, and January 2003 and were all sent back to us as undeliverable last week. Sometimes, it really is just the post office, folks.

Wow – maybe someone at USPS was saving them, hoping you would go out of business & they would have some collector items / like casino chips & matchbooks – LOL

Vegas with an Edge is our catch-all blog on visiting and living in Las Vegas, in which you never know what will show up from day to day. Even we're bowled over from time to time by the posts that come from the keyboards of Jeffrey Compton (Living Local at Low Cost), Robin Camacho (Neighborhood Realty), Joe Pane (Knights on Ice), and special guests. We ourselves post under Vegas News and Updates, where we cover special events from March Madness to Mother's Day, Halloween to the Super Bowl. Check it out frequently and be surprised!
