Harry Reid (formerly McCarran) International Airport is located at 5757 Wayne Newton Boulevard, which is an extension of Paradise Road, just two miles southeast of the Las Vegas Strip and 15 miles from downtown. It's easily accessed via I-215, Tropicana Avenue, or Russell Road. The airport, named after Harry Reid, a powerful U.S. senator from Nevada from 1987 to 2017, consists of four runways, two passenger terminals, and 110 gates.
Terminal 1 is the main (original) building, while Terminal 3 is a separate newer building about a half-mile away. Each has its own parking garage, ticketing/check-in areas, baggage claim, and shopping and dining options. Free shuttles (look for the Reid logo) connect the two every 12-15 minutes.
It's important that you know which airline operates at which terminal building before coming to the airport to fly out.
