10/3 MLB Playoffs I just wanted to get thoughts on the totals tonight as I am playing both OVERS. 967 OVER 7.5 (-120) 969 OVER 7 (120). Thus far OVERS are I believe 7-2 in these playoffs and I like this spot with the "aces" throwing in the yankees/tigers and Price throwing for TB.
I feel it is highly unlikely that either Verlander or Sabathia goes really deep into this game. Both on shorter rest after the suspended game. Both managers want to make sure they will be possibly available for a game 5 if the game gets out of hand early. Sabathia has been prone to the HR ball lately and both of these offenses should score. Price did not have a good outing last time out and he too can be prone to the HR. The Rangers hit lefties very well despite what Moore did too them. Price has really been relying on the fastball lately and that is a little concerning. Combine that with Colby Lewis a contact pitcher with a 4.4 ERA who also gave up 35 HR this year. The ball may not travel as well in TB as it does in Texas, but to me this game has over written all over it.
It seemed as a whole OVERS were winning at a high rate over the last 30-45 days of the season. I know this can be typical, but it seemed very one sided this year. I have no numbers to back that up and the playoffs are a whole different ballgame but to me 8 runs in both these games should be very doable. Good luck to all.
