9/30 Det @ Balt

9/30 Det @ Balt If you are still wagering on "small ball": Should they get the game in tonight in Baltimore, one has to love the O's even at -150 in this situation. The Tigers played, and lost, two yesterday in Cleveland and have now lost another big bat in Cabrera. There is a decisive pitching edge with Bonderman showing the effects of having thrown too many pitches of late and Guthrie reverting to fine form. We all know the O's have been playing great ball for over a month now. Look for the O's to beat up on a tired and demoralized team. If rained out and tomorrow we see the same match-up, we still like the play. In fact, having looked at the match-ups for the entire four game series, we will look to the O's in all games if the price is right. NOTE: One should look at lineups this weekend before wagering...see last night's Reds' game as an example. GL (and go Giants!), RUDY
GL Rudy--where ya been?
BALTIMORE (AP)—A steady rain forced postponment of Thursday night’s game between the Detroit Tigers and Baltimore Orioles. The teams will play a doubleheader Friday, beginning at 4:30 p.m. The second game will begin 20 minutes after the first. It will be Detroit’s second doubleheader in three days. The Tigers lost both games at Cleveland on Wednesday. Baltimore played its final road game of the year Wednesday against Tampa Bay. The series, scheduled for four games through Sunday, is the final one of the season for both teams.
GL Rudy--where ya been?
Thanks, Double B! I've been at it since opening day; never stopped. Went cold mid-season and gave up posting in forums to shake things up. I am a superstitious one, like most gamblers! There is still plenty of fruit on the MLB tree. If you or anyone ever listens to me, listen to this advice: you best check lineups the next four days before wagering. Again, lots of winners to be had in that info! Also, there will be a few "pretenders" in the postseason. I'll throw out some thoughts on the playoffs on Monday after the pairings are set. My best, RUDY

Thanks for the response rudy
Tigers/O's series update - 10/1 Update: Now that we have a double-header today Friday resulting from yesterday's rainout, Guthrie has been moved to game 2 and he does not face Bonderman who remains as the starter in game 1. I am not as excited about either of the two games because of Baltimore's pitching switch. However, I still see the Tigers as playing out the season so I will ride with the O's in both games but lessen my wagers, especially in the second game (Porcello/Guthrie). Unless I see something unexpected in these two games, I will send it in on the O's tomorrow (Galarraga/Matusz) and Sunday (undecided/Bergesen) as the O's will have the pitching advantage in both. Enjoy the weekend and foots but please do not forget that there is money to be made this weekend in MLB if you wait on lineups. GL always, RUDY
Tigers/O's series update - 10/2 Two in the bank!!! I like the O's the most in today's match-up...a bit pricey but I will spilt my play 50% RL and 50% ML (yes, Bucky, RL at home...lol). GL RUDY
Tigers/O's series update - 10/2 - Superfecta time??? O's have 3 in...favorable pitching change...I think they sweep, as originally called. Very pricey with Coke...I will again split the Orioles wager between ML and RL (split those yesterday to break even on a W...ouch)...today I believe it will be easy for the O's to cover the RL...I also played the 5 inning, minus .5, wager, too. Back tomorrow with some post-season thoughts. GL, RUDY Another sweet looking 5 inning play today would be the Braves with Hamels scheduled to go three innings and Oswalt going one...let's hope I am not called on to pitch the 5th!!!
Thanks for posts! Cool
