912 O6' even Stupidass ESPN says Halladay has 6 CGs, including his perfect game, with that home plate umpire. LeBlanc was just called up (18.1 craptacular innings at AAA Tucson) and should not be in a game totaled this low (1.40+ WHIP last year in SD in 29 APP, 28 starts), but everyone has a hard-on for Halladay.
LeBlanc is underwhelming for sure. I thought I read Halladay had never pitched in San Diego before. I always felt the way to get to him was stringing base hits together and just hit them where they ain't if you can. But San Diego might not be so good at that. San Diego starts 5 hitters around .200 or less probably some with few at bats but grand total of 6 home runs in starting 9 I see. I would think that has a lot to do with the total. LeBlanc will benefit from the park if he's reasonably on his game which isn't much although he had a good run of starts last year. He's of the crafty lefty type. Good luck if you go over. Like many top pitchers they probably want to get to Halladay early if they can/
Game also went 11 innings yesterday and both teams used several relievers. Phi can play that game, but how much endurance does Wade LeBlanc have? I can see the Phillies adding a lot of Geico insurance runs against a weakened Friar bullpen.
