963 Astros +199

963 Astros +199 Seriously? In what world does this version of the Colorado Rockies get to be -230 against any one? This was the first thing I played last night, and I would have played it strictly as a price play, but the more I looked, the more I liked. Brett Myers is who he is, an over rated ass clown with a bad attitude. But he’s in decent form. His last three road starts have been at Az, SL and Mil., three very difficult places to pitch. He’s given up exactly three runs in each of those starts, averaging over seven innings. The Stros have been playing well, and were just an inch from sweeping the Giants over the weekend. They are playing all kids, and getting some decent production. Rockies are just playing out the season, waiting for ownership to blow up the team. Chacin stinks, and pitches just well enough to lose. Rocks have lost nine of his last ten starts. Hopefully it goes to 10 of 11, at a very nice price.
I've probably had a bet on Myers 60% or more of his starts over the past 2 years. He did well last year and poor this year. You could have added more info to this play like the fact Myers was 7-0 against Colorado going into this game. Does it mean anything? I don't know. It obviously didn't when you see the results. The line probably was too high but it can't be denied that money continued to pour in on Colorado. I picked up +1.5-105 when it was about +1.5-110 but bailed on some of the bet once the money continued to pour in on Colorado. From what I can gather on a review of the game is that Myers fastball is not as fast as it should be. Something is probably wrong with him. One thing I absolutely know is that he's another guy too many early runs still last 6 innings many times. Certainly helpful to the bullpen and Houston I think actually won a game last week on a grand slam when they were down with Myers pitching late. Last year sharp money was on him and I followed to a few wins. Got comfortable with him and started expecting bets so I wouldn't miss and it worked out well. This year I've had trouble figuring out why the cheap prices and took a few losses on him going in on an opinion but have backed off the opinions and now really only want him with an off number. I no longer expect the bet. Money just not coming in on Myers. He had that streak last year where he went at least 6 for what 30 starts in a row---something like that. Probably just a stupid thing to do. The Astros really are a stupid organization. I'll be amazed if that Pence trade ever works out and I don't have a clue how anyone could be bothered to even see this AAA team play which is also another factor in the odds in their games. They actually are scoring more recently but their lineup is full of rookies as you probably know at this point. Wandy and Norris might keep them in a few games as can Myers but let's face it he's been hit all year.
