NLCS Thursday [B]The Giants are the play, here is why:
- Yes, there is VALUE, as Joel states, in SF plus money in what should be a pick-em game
- Too much Giant momentum and a strong home field advantage
- Charlie Manuel is being out-managed by Bruce Bochy
- Last night the Phils went deeper into counts against Bumgarner. They won that battle but lost the war. Tonight I expect them to go with this strategy against Timmy. Lincecum has shown that he can consistently come from behind in the count and get batters out.
- On the other hand, the Giants will swing at their share of first and second pitches in an attempt to disallow Doc from getting into an early game rhythm. They did that in game one and will do the same tonight.
Giants win in a low scoring game (that is a lean to UNDER 5.5) but certainly not a play as we would hate to see Charlie juggling his relievers, if necessary.
