ALDS and NLDS thoughts

ALDS and NLDS thoughts I seldom make plays on series as I am more of a game-by-game situational player but here is how I see the four series shaping up: (Note: I am foregoing stats and commentary as all one has to do is pick up any newspaper (information source for us older folks) or read on the web) Texas/Tampa Bay - Rays in 3 games The Rays speed and experience will make the difference. If the Rays get by Lee, they should have the sweep. NYY/Minn - Yanks in 4 The Yankees are one of the "pretender" teams in the postseason and I really wanted to jump on the Twins bandwagon. But in the final analysis, all the Yankees need to do is take one in Minny to get by the Twins. Experience and history prevails. Cinn/Phil - Phils in 5 We love how the Reds play at home and should they take one in Philly they will have a heck of a shot at an upset. However, the Phils are too strong with a decisive starting pitching edge and will not allow this to happen. Two crafty managers going head-to-head. Phils will not have as easy a time as the world expects. Atl/SF - Giants in 4 We backed the Jints all season as we saw something special in this team coming out of spring training. Several quiet mid-season additions and the Giants are primed for the postseason. Despite losing two to SD this past weekend, this is an especially dangerous team at home as they can control the pace of the game (I know, this is not basketball) and should go to Atlanta in game three with two in the bag. I'll be back with a few spot plays but looks like nothing for tomorrow, Wednesday. RUDY
I wanted to close out this thread before laying out the Championship Series. We had 3 of 4 correct with hitting the Giants right on in 4 games. The Phils had an easier time than expected as the Reds inexperience showed, the Yankees had an easy time as predicted, and we were wrong about the Rays, in fact, it was the Rangers speed that helped them win game 5. On to the next round...in a new post later today. RUDY
