Cin/Mil Play

Cin/Mil Play This is my first post on these boards. Here is my play on the Reds - Brewers game for 7/26/10. Comments welcome and appreciated. Thanks for reading. Ed Cincinnati +105 over MILWAUKEE – The Brewers have won four straight, taking advantage of the Pirates and the Nationals. This is a big jump in class and we don’t think they can handle it. Arroyo should be very sharp here. In his last start, he was up against Stephen Strasburg. The Reds scored first, but Arroyo couldn’t hold the lead and the Reds lost 8-5. Cincinnati is a perfect 10-0 (+3.8 rpg) with Arroyo when they lost his last start, as long as he is not a favorite of more than 200. Every one of Arroyo’s starts in this situation has been a quality start and in SEVEN of the ten, their opponent scored 0 or 1 run. This season, the Reds are a perfect 5-0 in this situation. In their last two under these conditions, they beat the Dodgers 7-1 and the Cubs 12-0. See for yourself by running this SDQL text: starter=Bronson Arroyo and s:L and line>-200 and 20090813
Welcome and Good Luck.
Thanks, appreciate the posts. Coolmil
LOL this is ridiculous.
LOL this is ridiculous.
You don't think the Reds players know when they are a divisional dog to a lower ranked team? or how close to pick em the game is lined?
Prof Meyer, could you please let us know what your MLB record is for this season, if I am going to follow blindly I would like to know how you have been doing. TIA, Jackie Peanuts
Season-to-Date Record I'm not asking anyone to follow these plays "blindly." I'm posting them for informational purposes only. I spend a lot of time researching the selections using the Sports Data Query Language and I thought they would be of interest some to the readers of this group. Some, apparently, are interested and others seem to think the write-ups are "ridiculous." I would appreciated it if those that are interested keep following and contribute helpful comments and ask good questions. So far, our record is 0-1, as we lost with the Reds on 7/26. The selection was based on the fact that we expected a good outing from Arroyo and he pitched a complete game three-hitter. We lost 3-2 after taking an early 2-0 lead. Regards, Prof Meyer
Some, apparently, are interested and others seem to think the write-ups are "ridiculous." JMHO - A write-up is always better than simply blurting out a play, whether that pick is one's opinion or posting a play from another handicapper. However, one must always be able to support the points included in that write-up and others have the right to question your reasoning. My advice is to keep on doing what you do best and do not let this or any crowd take you out of your game or shatter your confidence. BOL, RUDY
Don't know why everyone is giving you so much grief here but BOL tonight..
Big Poppa and Rudy, Thanks for the kinds words and encouragement. I'm not sure if my work will bear fruit, but I feel that the information I use is not general knowledge and might provide an edge over the linesmakers. We'll see. Personally, I don't mind someone questioning my reasoning. In fact, I would love someone to question my reasoning. That's why I'm posting the plays here. That's how I learn. Prof Meyer
