Kendrick/Smith
After a forgettable April Kendrick finally pitched a good game against the Cards his last time out throwing 7 shutout innings.
Smith had a horrible turn on April 28th, giving up 8 earned in one inning but pitched better in San diego his last start out.
His control has been a problem and that is a worry but we have 11 runs to work with here.
I like to find a pitcher who is on the front end of pitching a few good games because the total will be inflated while the bookies adjust. Kendrick I hope, fits that criteria. If we can get 5+ out of Smith without too much damage I have no problem with the Colorado pen who knows how to pitch in this park (ERA is 2.51). Philly is on a good under run, scoring enough to win while letting the pitching keep the opposition under control.
The wind is expected to blow in 10-20 mph.
Carlos Gonzalez, the Rockies leading RBI guy, is out of the lineup tonight (family funeral).
I'll take my chances here.
