A movie reference - And, a game to wager on I watched every pitch last night of the Giants at Dodgers game.
The Giants won 5-2 but three things happend that were unusual.

The Good: Late in the game a Dodger swung and missed ( I just can't remember who it was) at strike three, the ball bounced away on a funny angle and the runner reached first. Posey argued with the ump that the ball hit the batters back leg while he swung. The umps held a pow-wow and reversed the call. Strike three, batter out. The was no argument from the Dodgers. It was the right call. Replays showed he was hit as he swung.

The Bad: In the 8th with the bags loaded with Giants, Sanchez flew out to right with one out. Except, Torres who was at first thought there were two outs and took off to second. Either caught the ball and threw into second and in turn the ball was thrown back to first for the double play.
However, Ishikawa at 3rd tagged and scored before the ball reached first so the run counted. Shame on Torres. Baserunnnig 101. Know the number of outs, dummy.
The Ugly: Bottom of the 6th, two outs, runners on second and third..
Kemp grounds to 3rd, Sandoval runs over to tag Loney coming from 2nd. The ump rules that Carroll, coming home from 3rd, scores before Sandoval can put on the tag. For the second game in a row a home ump in a Giants game blows a call. Replays clearly show the tag was applied BEFORE the runner crossed home, almost a full step!!! So, the run counted even though it should not have. And, SHAME ON SANDOVAL. Throw the ball to 1st, dummy.
Pulling a rabbit out of your hat: I threw 30 pieces of paper in a hat, the names of a baseball team on each one, choosing to pull one out and make a case for that team. First came Cleveland, then Oakland. I didn't like those two. Threw them back in. Finally:

Mets at Diamondbacks:
Dickey/Enright
I watched Dickey pitch last week against the Giants. This 35 year old can deal. He throws a nuckleball up to 84mph. His era of under 2.70 is no fluke. He should really frustrate a Arizona team that is way, way, way ahead of every MLB team in strikeouts, over 850, total. Wow. I smell a ton of swings and misses.
Enright, his oppont has gone 5.0, 5.2 and 5.0 innings in his three starts this year. We've got a bullpen game here with the Diamondbacks. It's ERA is almost 7, save rate under 60%.
I like the Mets here, as a small dog. I'm laying the juice.

Good luck to all.
