This discussion is OK, but I'd like to nip the personal part of it right away. Rudy was invited by me to mention his service for the reasons I stated. Among them, he's been a good contributor here. I've seen enough of his work over the past two years to be very comfortable with this. If you're interested in paying for his services, pursue it with him. If not, then leave it alone. I'm not gonna invite someone to post then let others jump on him. That's the MO of Malmuth at 2+2, as I personally found out.

He might be the nicest guy in the world, but facts are facts. Rudy lost about 80 units in BB/FB then another 170 units in MLB in 2010 (finishing dead last of over 100 MLB services at ProSportsMonitor, see link in The Dude's post for details). He also lost significantly on another forum he was posting at before getting banned the season before. Now all of the sudden he is self-monitored? GMAFB. The guy caught a flyer his first 3 weeks here, and has been negative ever since. This will not end well. I can understand Anthony wanting to support the limited amount of regular MLB contributors here, but it is very naive and irresponsible of him to endorse a paid handicapper when there is an abundance of evidence showing that Rudy has no long term edge and should not be charging for picks.
Rudy didn't like Doc's reply and I've deleted his response that was just angry. If Doc's information is refutable, then it should be refuted; otherwise it's fair to post it. I said Rudy's done well here and contributes a lot. I stand by that. I also said he could post details of his service, but that doesn't constitute an endorsement. Fact is, whenever someone wants to sell something, they open themselves up to scrutiny. You have to be able to fade that.

We had this conversation last year as well, after you cooled off after a fast start. Why not just let your results speak for themselves? The write-ups are informative, and people will be able to make their own decisions. Anyone that decides to fade your picks just means there is more money for other people to bet on your side at the same line.
Agree with Joel. There will always be naysayers. I hate to keep bringing up the 2+2 thing, but all I got there was people coming out of the woodwork saying I'd done things that I never had. All I needed was the management there to stand behind me and I'd deal with it, but they didn't. I'm standing behind Rudy as a good poster with good results here. If there's evidence that he hasn't done well elsewhere, then I don't see why it can't be brought up. I'm not taking either side. Prospective customers can make their own choices.

The other information is inaccurate and refutable but I should not be put in a position where I have to spend my time answering these naysayers.
You probably don't. You have lots of fans here.
It is not my intention to attack anyone or be a naysayer, that is not what this is at all. It is important to have all information available when evaluating any handicapper, particularly one who is charging money. My information was taken directly from ProSportsMonitor. https://prosportsmonitor.com/archives.php?id=17 (scroll to bottom) 2010 MLB 117 Rudy NYC Sports -171.80 592 580 50.51% As for 2009, I am sure there are still some archives on RightAngle's forum. Lots of people lost money following Rudy there, and they finally banned him for his recordkeeping antics. I hope Rudy keeps posting and provides useful contributions to this forum, but he irrefutably is not a long term winner and we should not make him out to be something he isn't. I hope someone appreciates my efforts here, not worth my trouble otherwise.
