Prof Meyer's 8/23 MLB Play COLORADO +115 over Atlanta – There’s no denying that Tim Hudson’s numbers look fantastic recently. The Braves have won his last six starts by scores of 8-0, 3-1, 4-1, 3-0, 1-0 and 3-2. This, no doubt, is why the Braves are a significant favorite vs a quality starter on the road. However, five of these six starts were at home and the only road start was vs the Nationals. The Braves have been a much better team at home than on the road this season, so Hudson’s recent performance many simply be due to the fact that his recent starts have been at home. The Rockies are loaded with line value here.
The Braves annihilated the reeling Cubs yesterday, winning 16-5 while benefiting from SEVEN walks. Atlanta is 0-10 recently after a win in which they drew 5+ walks and they are 0-9 in the first game of a road series when they are off a 3+ run win in which they had at least a dozen hits. The SDQL text for these trends are:

In the latter of these two trends, the Braves were the favorite in five of the nine losses.
Colorado is being insulted here. The Rockies are off a 1-0 road win in the last game of a six-game trip. The Rockies are 10-0 at home when they are off a win in which they scored in at most two separate innings, including a perfect 9-0 THIS season. Also, the Rockies are 6-0 THIS season at home after scoring 3 runs or less and winning.
In addition, the Rockies are 9-1 when Jason Hammel starts at home when he went at least 6 innings and gave up 6 or fewer hits in his last start. The lone loss came when Hammel left in the seventh inning with a lead, but the bullpen allowed three runs and they lost 5-4. Colorado is a perfect 3-0 in this spot in 2010, winning by scores of 8-2, 1-0 and 2-0. Wow.
Although Atlanta has a much better record than Colorado this season, the Rockies are 38-20 at home in 2010 and the Braves are 29-34 on the road. And we’re the dog?
To put the proverbial icing on the cake, Colorado is 5-0 in Hammel’s last five starts at home vs a team that has averaged 7+ strikeouts per game – and the Rockies NEVER trailed at any time during the five games. Grab the price as the squares blindly follow Hudson’s “hot streak.â€
