tuesday Another good day yesterday. We won our nhl lean easily and Detroit hung on to beat the yankees. Today nothing even close to a play or a lean. So we can take a day off after a nice 9-0 run this month. Poker Comments: We are in the middle of may and only 2 weeks away is the World Series of Poker. I say this each year that the common tendency among poker players at this time of year is to play much higher then they do during the other 10 months. If your a grinder like I am it really doesn't make much sense to do that. Why play higher for only a month and a half and expose yourself to variance that might take away most if not all of your profits for the year in the game you usually play in. Sure you might get on the right side of variance and win big but as I view it the key is to minimize the effect variance is going to have on you rather then expose yourself to it with the idea of getting lucky.
