Wedn A 5-0 lead wasn't enough for Toronto...and even a 5-3 lead going into the 9th wasnt enough as they lost 7-6 and our lean on Tues went down:( We have been getting a number of breaks...so as always breaks go both ways. Today 2 home dogs......the pirates are completely out of consideration as a pick but San diego may swing into a lean.....but a lot has to happen before 4:30. I will keep an eye on the numbers and update if anything develops. I am working on a new method of handicapping the nba for next season. So far its the only mainstream sport that I am having difficulty getting a grasp on. I am going to put less emphasis on what the public is doing and more on what worked in NCAA baskets. I was confident in mlb this season that thing would work out well.....but am not nearly as confident in the NBA but we will see next season Looking at game 1 tonight......no edge I can see either way. The public is on Boston 60-40...the line moved from +6 to +5.5. One of my models is strong in favor of the Celtics tonight and another is strong in favor of the Lakers. In addition my short dog rule would also take boston out of consideration. Game 3 in the nhl is very similar. The public is heavy on Phil....64-36. And my models are split on the sides. thursday San diego as a lean was a winner. Behind 1-0 they tied it up the bottom of the 9th and then a four run home run finished it off in extra innings. However I am not going to put this into my records since I inadvertently posted the pick 10 min after the game started. Posting from the bellagio while playing poker must be tougher then I thought:) In addition the nba game I referred to yesterday is tonight.
