Will be at the A's game and let you know if I see anything of note. Agree with the pick, BTW. Mazzaro is the Bumgarner of the A's.

Saturday mlb plays Friday we got a split with Baltimore losing 2-0. They never really were a threat in the game although they kept it close. But Oakland won 5-4 scoring 2 in the bottom of the 8th and holding a one run lead into the 9th. Today 2 plays in mlb: 971 - C Lee 972 BAL - B Bergesen +210 I got +215 963 - U Jimenez 964 ARI - B Enright +150 I got +155 Good Luck Today RickJ Rickjshandicappingpicks.blogspot.com Twitter: rickjsportplays
This would have been a 3-2 game, tops, if not for the fielding. The ballpark was completely empty. If any team with a history is in town, it's going to be 70% visiting team fans. As a basic strategy I would take the A's at home in day games but fade them at night. Mazzaro looked good out there. Those early runs were mostly because of bad fielding, although he himself committed one of those errors on a bad pickoff attempt. (Why are pickoff attempts always "errant" when they go wrong? I won't call them that out of principle.) The team settled down after the first and eventually figured out Hellickson, who entered the game with a 0.60 WHIP and 1.35 ERA. Toward the end of the game, the A's defense was quite good, although this, like the first inning, could very easily be random distribution. All in all, there wasn't a lot to learn from this game. The A's have a reliever Rodriguez who was clocked at 101 in the park. I've never seen that radar gun in triple digits before, even when Dotel was here.
Sunday mlb play A nice day yesterday with Baltimore winning in a high scoring game and Arizona winning 3-1. We got some nice breaks in the arizona game. Down 1-0 and a man on third Jimenez threw a wild pitch bringing in the tieing run. And then with 1 out and the pitcher up ..a base hit and a home run put Arizona in the lead 3-1 and that was the final score. Also it was interesting to see who Arizona brought in the close the game in the 9th. An 0-6 pitcher with a 6.75 era. He does have heat throwing 97 mph fastballs but of course to start out the inning he hits the first batter:( But after a scare arizona pulled it off:) Today 1 play in mlb: 929 - M Garza 930 OAK - D Braden +115 I got +116 Good Luck today RickJ Rickjshandicappingpicks.blogspot.com Twitter: rickjsportplays
